In recognition of International Human Duties Day (IHDD), observed globally on July 10, JCI Dutch Caribbean and Human Rights Defense Curaçao have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in raising awareness about both human rights and human duties.
IHDD is a global initiative that calls upon individuals, organizations, and governments to take concrete action toward advancing human rights and acknowledging the responsibilities that come with them.
Through this MoU, both organizations commit to launching a joint awareness campaign focused on Human Rights & Human Duties.
The campaign will include educational outreach, media dissemination, school visits, and community engagement. It will culminate in a public forum on Thursday, July 10, 2025, featuring key speakers who will address these vital topics and engage with the public in meaningful dialogue.
“This partnership allows us to expand the conversation beyond rights to include our shared duties as members of society,” said the National President of JCI Dutch Caribbean Richards Martina. “Awareness is the first step toward real and lasting change.”
